Vert #21
Name: shadowsong26
Story: In Silence
'Verse: Feredar
Colors: Vert #21. King/Queen of my heart
Supplies and Materials: graffiti (Lilith Faire 2024 Day Four: Second Stage), miniature, photography, seed beads, beading wire
Word Count: 100
Rating: PG
Characters: Fera
Warnings: Unrequited love.
Notes: Constructive criticism welcome, as always.
Fera knew her husband didn't love her. She had made her peace with that--or tried to, at least.
But there were times when she ached with the need to say something. To put into words how she felt.
She never did, of course. Kellom hadn't done anything wrong, and giving voice to the burning in her heart might make him feel like he had, which was the last thing she wanted.
So she kept the words locked inside her, preserved the delicate balance in her marriage that left her content, if not entirely happy, and loved him, absolutely--but in silence.

Andrell keeps her in the palace while he's stabilizing things/for a year or so, and then she goes back to stay with her family, and lives quietly away from court. She never remarries, but she does find her peace and contentment in her widowhood. It helps having a little distance from everything with Kellom. Andrell does make sure she has at least financial support, as much as she needs/wants, and did make it clear that she was welcome at court if she wants to come back, but he never pushes her.
