---

Katherine didn't worry about the ship's route as they traveled, and she never worried about their destination. The navigators would make sure of their route, and the pilots would ensure they arrived safely. The spaceship knew which way to go and worrying about it would do nothing for her.

She preferred to stay in her quarters when she was feeling uncertain. She had set up a box garden of sorts over the years, gathering plants from various planets that she could raise in limited space. And every time she successfully managed to managed to transplant one to her planter she felt a sense of triumph that nothing else could match. Even while traveling through the void in vessels that could easily fail, life could still grow. It was an affirmation of her faith that, like the spaceship, life knew where it needed to go.

Oh, I really like this! And she's right, life finds a way.

She says, quoting Jeff Goldblum, but he's right.
