Ledgers, lists, the twists and turns of bureaucracy; schedules, calendars, scrolls, pieces of paper; categorizing, solving, slotting in. These are the things Gong Weiyu is good at, so long as he doesn't get yelled at.

In a sense, everyone in an organization is a tool. So is Gong Weiyu. But he is not a thing.

Master Wu did not scold overmuch, or expect him to do what he couldn't, and neither does his successor. Sometimes, Lin Moniao even gives him a word of praise, making pride swell in Gong Weiyu's breast.

Yes, these are the things he is good at.
