Participant #3: it's actually like a few thousand different tarps, each with their own limited range of luminescence values. they all have their own intensity of light they're capable of emitting, and the hue of the light is actually controlled by the magnetic filter just under the welkin.
zenthic.353: yeah, the 'moon' is actually just the piece of welkin with the highest luminescence values. it's a discrete piece, so it isn't like they had to cut it out, they just removed it from its....... pegs? actually idk what keeps the different bits of welkin attached up there

I'm just posting this to remark on the fact that there has been a very unfortunate trend of people saying "stop complaining about this" and "yeah, we're all affected by this, but you don't see me making such a fuss about it" regarding the recent removal of the moon.
This is exactly the kind of poisonous attitude that makes Transit's leadership think they can do whatever they'd like to this city without notifying us beforehand. Communication has always been abysmal, but this is the worst instance in many years of the Nocturne and the Chief Engineer showing their contempt and disregard for the citizens of this city.
There will be no better opportunity to make our voices heard than now. This is an issue that affects every last person in Transit, and the visibility this grants us cannot be squandered.
Below, I have compiled a 50 bullet list of actions to take advantage of this opportunity and apply pressure to the upper-case tyrants who have so far ignored our input...

MODS PLEASE DON'T REMOVE THIS. This is not about the m o o n, this is about the emoticon.
I just wanted to address the Chief Engineer, even if I know she probably doesn't care and likely won't even see this ping. @Zynthia I just don't think it's fair to remove the emoticon from Atoz tablets but not Alexyz ones. When Alexyz was forked off from Atoz (All things through him!) we were promised system parity. It seems like we're not really getting it.
That's all I wanted to say.

Our moon might have just been a clever rendition on the welkin, but just the same, it was always there, hanging up in the sky above us even when we didn't see it. We carry around this image from our unremembered past, like the picture of a dead loved one in a cameo locket. Don't you think that's a touching thought?
