“Huh, oh- hey kitty!”
A cat the size of a wolf put his paws up on the table and meowed.
Martha smiled. “Do you wanna join our talent show?”
“Mrow!”
“Alrighty, uh…” The cat was sandy, with a white underside that reached his back paws but not his front ones, with those only white with an unrelated marking. He wore no collar, only a bandana, and Martha checked it for a name, address, or collar underneath. Nothing. “Can you write your name down on this for me, alongside your owner’s name- if you have one?” She handed the pen and sign up list to the kitty.
She got only a scribble for the owner’s name back, but the cat’s name was readable.
“So… Duskie… What can you do for the talent show?”

“A cat… the size… of a wolf?”
“Yep!” Martha presented the sign up list, and pointed to Duskie’s name on the list. “Nobody was with him, and he wrote his own name.”
“You sure he wasn’t the size of a husky or something?”
“Mrow!” Duskie, now a bit smaller, had somehow (as cats do) walked on over and snuck inside.
“... Actually, I’m not sure now…” She sweatdropped, before bending over to pet Duskie. “Anyways, check out what he can do!”
Duskie mrowed, and prepared to show off, but-
“Halt!” A boy ran in and yelled. “It’s time for the show, go go go go!”

“In the order everyone signed up- Duskie, you’re 69, inbetween Roger and Vinvin! Roger’s the chocolate cat with the white bits and Vinvin’s the black tabby tuxedo cat that’s just a little less fluffier than you are.”
Duskie bolted over to that exact seat.
“Alrighty! Everyone look for the seat with your number!” Martha yelled. “The show’s about to begin!”

“Hi, my name’s Nora.” The girl waved, a sheepish smile on her face. “This is my cat, Groff.”
Groff hopped and mrowed out a greeting of his own.
“And…” She pulled out an unlit sparkler and bend down to let Groff swat it, and when she held it up, it was beautifully alight. “He can set things ablaze!”
The crowd (including Duskie) went wild.

“My name’s Snowshine!” The lop ears of her hoodie moved as she spoke. “This is Snowsparkle. She’s a very calm cat. Look how close I get to setting her on the floor before she jumps out of my hands!” Snowshine bent down to set Snowsparkle on the floor, and the crowd watched as it didn’t jump at all, instead letting Snowshine place her down on the floor, her snow white coat making her look like a sad pile of flour wearing a black bandana. Snowshine giggled, and the audience laughed.
She hooked a finger around Snowsparkle’s bandana, showing off the back of her scuff- both showing that the bandana was not tight enough to activate the cat instinct to go limp, and that there’s nothing there, no pin nor piercing- and all unease left the audience.
She smiled as she got up and stepped backwards, before shouting.“But that wasn’t it! You see… Pinkberry!” A small dog that looked more like a fox ran up on stage. “Show everyone just how calm Snowsparkle is!”
Pinkberry ran over and grabbed Snowsparkle by the bandana, and dragged her over to Snowshine, jumping on a chair Snowshine pulled out. Snowsparkle’s body was still limp, except for her eyes that seemed to study the audience in curiosity, holding no judgment for their enjoyment of the scene in front of them.
“Good dog!” Snowshine pet Pinkberry, and gave Snowsparkle a pat on the head, causing her eyes to shift from staring at the audience to staring at Snowshine, yet with no hard feelings in her eyes. “And good kitty! I’ll get you both some treats when we get home, ok?”
The audience clapped and cheered.

“... Number 69, if you’d please come out of your seat- whoa!” The announcer’s eyes widened at the sight of the massive cat running over to the stage.
Duskie let out a friendly meow as introduction.
“Well, uh… Go kitty, go!”
Duskie ran over to the far left of the stage and backflipped three times in a row, before running to the center of the stage and unfurling great red wings made out of energy.
Nora gasped, Snowshine squealed in awe, and the crowd went wild!

“And that was the story of the greatest thing I’ve ever seen since sliced bread.” Martha chuckled, before adding. “Most people don’t believe me about the wings part.”
“I do!” Yelled the cowboy she was telling the story to.
“Of course you do.”

The size of a wolf! I don't know if even big cats get that big! That was already a showstopper, and then the wings...
