When you make sacrifice to the Mountain Mother, do not lay before her the heads of snakes or the flesh of wolves, they are abhorrent to her and offering such animals to her is a great sin. Instead, as if she were a guest at your own table, sacrifice your lambs to her bowl or the blood of the mountain goats, these animals are her attributes and she regards them as sacred, as part of her own being. These will please her and lead to her blessing, to your good fortune. Truly.
When you offer to the Mountain Mother, do not add sweet basil or ears of oat to your mortar, for those are plants meant for human consumption and the Goddess has no need for those where she lives up on high. Instead offer her leaves from the palm tree, wrapped around one single slice of banana bread, the first slice that would otherwise have been discarded, and burn it over a flame. The incense will please her, and she will share with you her blessings, to your good fortune. Truly.
Before entering the sacred places leading to the altar rooms, do always draw the sign of the three-point star over your heart, only so will you call down protection against the Mountain Mother’s awesome presence and be able to stand in the proximity of her holiness. Always greet your guiding priestess with the three-point star over your heart, only so will the two of you be bound for the ritual and her chants come to serve you. You may consider any priestess holy in the same way the Mountain Mother is, for she will be a reflection of the Goddess, and her actions will hold all the wonders of First Creation. Truly.
