The Housing Authority has learned everything they need to know about these living arrangements. They can track nearly everything about the residents, from personality to political leanings, and they know how to keep them separated. They have the proofs for it. It’s all mathematics.

So they keep building the containers. They place people where they need to be placed to keep a critical mass of any sort from building. If they need to be moved, they’re moved, but that’s getting less and less common. It’s truly a marvel, or a nightmare, of planning.

Thank you! I wasn't expecting to revisit this universe, but the article immediately reminded me of it, and yes, it's somewhat dystopic. These are the only homes anyone has in this setting anymore...
