Name: shadowsong26

Supplies and Materials: graffiti (Lilith Faire Day 6: Village Stage), photography, stickers ("It's the lack of faith that makes people afraid of meeting challenges, and I believed in myself." - Muhammed Ali), modeling clay, charcoal
Word Count: 179
Rating: R
Characters: Tana
Warnings: Murder, torture, genocide, one-sided incestuous infatuation, Tana.
Notes: Constructive criticism welcome, as always.
Sometimes, I wonder if I should be bothered by some of the things we do down here. Not the deaths, exactly, but the other things. Some of the others are, or they try to do the work quickly and painlessly.
But I’m not.
Some days, it’s even exciting,--the power, the blood, the feeling of taking a life. Of having that kind of control, especially over freaks and monsters. And it lets me feel closer to Kellom, who is perfect even if he doesn’t love me the way I want. It helps me help him create a better world.
And there’s a reason I’m given the ones who might have secrets--about the Red Rose traitors, about their secret pathways out of the city. Because I can do it. I can hurt them, I can dig those secrets out of them, draw it like blood, and it doesn’t bother me. Even on the days when it’s not as much fun, it still doesn’t bother me.
Besides. It’s not like they’re people, anyway.
Even if they look like they are.
