Princess Nolani liked people. She liked being with people, she liked being in love (or believing she was in love). She would flirt with just about anyone of an appropriate age, and consider going farther with most of them.
But if a would-be partner couldn't at least be polite and civil to and about her younger siblings, things would go no further than the shallow flirtation that most courtiers indulged in out of habit.
At least one lover had found himself immediately abandoned when she found out how he patronized her younger brother when she was out of earshot.
And everyone knew about Lady Delassha, who had made the mistake of insulting Princess Kirana in her soon-to-be-ex-lover's presence and gotten her nose broken.
Nolani liked people. Her tastes were broad, and she didn't like to be alone, so she had very few rules.
But the ones she did have were utterly inflexible, and treating her siblings well was the most important of all.
