Notes: An AU where Miranda works for the CIA.
Every so often Miranda stops and wonders why she’s doing this.
It’s not what she’s doing, not exactly. She knows herself quite well. She is her family’s protector, and she has always been ready to do terrible things to protect the people she loves. But that’s just it- to protect the people she loves. What she does now is… perhaps indirectly protective, but she has never seen a direct connection, or really any connection at all.
This is her duty. She knows that. It’s only… duty to who? To what?
She tries not to think about it too often.
