Lapis Lazuli #7, True Blue #8
Name: shadowsong26
Story: Enough
'Verse: Feredar
Colors: Lapis Lazuli #7. persevere, True Blue #8. Friends to the end
Supplies and Materials: graffiti (Lilith Faire, Day 2: Village Stage), photography, reimaging (of this), tapestry (True Blue + novelty beads), oils, novelty beads (farewell)
Word Count: 158
Rating: PG-13
Characters: Fera, Kellom
Warnings: Discussion of war and likely imminent death.
Notes: Constructive criticism welcome, as always.
There is something hollow behind her husband’s eyes, and Fera hears everything he isn’t saying.
Tomorrow, one way or another, will be…will likely be the end of things.
And there is a very good chance that this time, he will not come back to her.
But she lets him pretend, doesn’t break the spell. Gives him this one last moment of peace before whatever is waiting him at the city walls. For all the missing pieces in their marriage, she can give him that much.
As she always has done.
He may not love her the way she loves him. A part of her knows that. Has always known that.
But she loves him, with every fiber of her being. And she will always be here for him, when he comes home. She can give him that much.
In these last few terrible days, when everything is uncertain and their world is crashing down around them, that’s enough.
