"Yes," Gina said, patient, "but generally they try to steal a little less obviously."

Her would-be client complained over the phone, and she rolled her eyes at nothing in particular. Why he thought no one would notice large chunks of one of the most famous books of the twenty-first century...

"My point," she said, when he wound down, "is that I could buy your book, but as soon as I did my editor would ask why most of it is stolen from Harry Potter."

"It's not stolen," he said, and oh, the face he must be making. "It's inspired! A homage!"

Gina sighed. "Inspired would not be verbatim," she said, and off they went again.
