Ruby #15
Name: shadowsong26
Story: Just a Little Bit
'Verse: Feredar
Colors: Ruby #15. hot iron shoes
Supplies and Materials: graffiti (Lillith Faire Day 7 Second Stage), photography, canvas (954 FY), charcoal, seed beads
Word Count: 231
Rating: R
Characters: Rema
Warnings: References to murder/attempted murder/poisoning/attempted suicide where the assassin in question chose to drink the poison herself rather than kill her target. Also, Rema.
Notes: Constructive criticism welcome, as always.
Rema loved her little sister. She truly, truly did.
But right now, she also hated her, at least a little bit.
One death. One man’s death, and they could strike a massive blow for the movement, and prevent hundreds of deaths, thousands, in the years to come.
But Nida was weak. But Nida loved him. And so she’d switched the glasses at the last moment, drunk the poison herself. And survived, because the King was oblivious and perhaps loved her, too.
Or he loved who he thought she was, at any rate.
One death.
Rema sighed.
Nida would come to her senses in time. She was a good girl, she’d been raised with the right principles, she was just--sentimental. Soon enough, she’d regret her impulsive decision and come crawling back. And of course, Rema would forgive her, because the mission and the movement were more important than anything else. And because Rema loved her little sister.
But right now, Rema would be lying if she didn’t get a certain grim satisfaction in how much Nida was likely suffering, as the poison worked its way out of her system. How much she would suffer, over the next few months, as she continued to recover.
Because right now, Rema hated her sweet, sentimental, selfish fool of a sister. Just a little bit. And she only had room in her heart for fury.

Yeah, it's...really not. Rema does have a point but I've seen that AU and it's...yeah.
