Ruby #12, Hills of Iowa #14
Name: shadowsong26
Story: Hard
'Verse: Untitled Intrigues Story
Colors: Ruby #12. poisoned comb, Hills of Iowa #14. This is not the house that pain built.
Supplies and Materials: graffiti (Lilith Faire Day 3 Village Stage), photography, canvas, brush (pejorative), novelty beads (station), glue ("The power of positive thinking can give your well-being a tremendous boost. Because you’re a Moon child, your moods come and go quickly, like the clouds across a summer sky. If you wake up feeling blue, don’t despair. There are plenty of things you can do that will immediately lift your spirits: wear colors that you enjoy; splash on your favorite scent, listen to an upbeat soundtrack. It's also wise to ignore the media if you can. Mindful choices can make all the difference between sorrow and hope.")
Word Count: 184
Rating: PG-13
Characters: Neremyi
Warnings: Arranged marriage (not the fun kind).
Notes: Constructive criticism welcome, as always. Neremyi is Malue and Enairi's mother, I'm not sure I've actually posted anything with her before.
Nandere was a hard place. In both senses of the word. Cold, and rigid, and unyielding, and difficult, so difficult, to find a place.
Neremyi had known that before she was even sent here--before her brother and her husband and the thrice-damned High Priest had put her here. Still, the reality, when she arrived, was...was something to behold.
But she would learn. She would adapt. She would wield her charm and subtle power--ever the province of an Elanhean princess--and make a life for herself here.
She was not the type to give up, even when faced with the daunting challenge of a hostile foreign court and a husband who did not really want her.
All it would take was a little patience, and a willingness to learn the new rules and play the game. All it would take was one crack in the facade, one thread for her to pull, one inch of breathing room, from the husband she didn't really want, either.
It would be hard, nothing would make it not hard, but Neremyi was clever and determined. She would find a way.

Neremyi is a Delight. As to how well she kicks ass...well, of her, her husband, her brother, and her sister-in-law, she's the only one still around as of when the main storyline takes place and even if she and her sons aren't super close she's definitely a Presence in the story :D
