Cadmium Yellow 2: Fundraising
Author: Kat
Title: Fundraising
Story: Shine Like It Does
Colors: Cadmium yellow 2 (Art for art's sake)
Supplies and Materials: Graffiti (Lilith Faire Second Stage: Supergirl), miniature, beading wire (this lonely photo)
Word Count: 100
Rating: PG
Summary: Fundraising for a living.
Warning: minor language.
Notes: Naomi is a super minor character but I super love her.
The problem with fundraising was that sometimes, you felt like no one else gave a shit.
Naomi hung up the phone and put her head down on the desk. Yet another rejection, not that she had expected anything else. She wasn't new to fundraising via cold calls. You'd think she'd be used to it: the constant rejection, the kind pity in some voices, the exasperated rage in others.
Okay. Back to work. She straightened up, hit the next number, and plastered a smile on her face.
"Hello, Mrs. Montgomery? My name is Naomi Clark, and I'm calling from Anonymous Hope..."
