Library Yellow #22, Jungle Green #2
Name: shadowsong26
Story: Facade
'Verse: Feredar
Colors: Library Yellow #22. rantipole, Jungle Green #2. Understory
Supplies and Materials: graffiti (Lilith Fair Day Three: Village Stage), photography, tapestry (Jungle Green + Novelty Beads), canvas, oils, modeling clay (what beast lurks), seed beads, novelty beads
Word Count: 153
Rating: PG
Characters: Sola
Warnings: Don't think so
Notes: Constructive criticism welcome, as always.
It sometimes grated on Sola, having to keep up a mask of being bright and bubbly and cheerful. It wasn’t that it was actually all that far from her natural temperament, just…enhanced, a little bit.
But there were times when she didn’t want to be the pretty flirt, when she wanted to snap at someone (besides her siblings) who was annoying her, to be--well, bad. Not in the sense that some people thought, because she liked to flirt with all of the boys, but really bad.
She never did, obviously. That was the calculating part of her, the one she’d gotten from Mamma and Aunt Rema and probably Grandmother, too. She knew that, once she let go of her façade, she’d never ever get it back, and it was too useful to risk.
Someday, though. When she was older and this tactic didn’t work so well anymore anyway. Someday, she’d get her chance.

Oh, yeah, she definitely will. She'll just...gradually stop pretending as she hits middle age and eventually get there, and basically be the Badass Matriarch of the family. Especially since Deva isn't super interested in the position.
