Warm Light 14: Kissing

Author: Kat
Title: Kissing
Story: In the Heart
Colors: Warm light 14 (We all write our own endings and we all have our own scars)
Supplies and Materials: Seed beads, miniature, tapestry (warm light/seed beads)
Word Count: 100
Rating: PG
Summary: The first time Hector kissed a boy.
Warnings: homophobia.
Notes: Pride fic #15.

The first time Hector kissed a boy, he was fifteen and in high school and the boy ran away after, wiping his mouth.

The second time Hector kissed a boy, he was seventeen, it was the same boy as the first time, and it was fine as long as they never told anyone.

The tenth (sixteenth) (twenty-third) time Hector kissed a boy, he was nineteen (twenty) (twenty-one), and he never did learn from his mistakes.

The first time Hector kissed Theo, it wasn't anything special; a night in a bar, a pretty man.

He hasn't stopped kissing Theo.

He never wants to.

This is actually the kind of story I keep coming back to in my own writing, and you really managed to put it in 100 words. XD I have come to terms with the fact that I like telling a couple of the same stories over and over and one of them is overcoming internalized and external homophobia.

So, thank you, this is my (sad) jam.

Of course! That's why it's my sad jam, really, because those happy endings are really necessary.
