Lapis Lazuli 8: Ghosts
Author: Kat
Title: Ghosts
Story: In the Heart
Colors: Lapis lazuli 8 (vestige)
Supplies and Materials: Miniature, seed beads, glitter (This is a poem for a beloved./Who never arrived.), novelty bead (Today, from a distance, I saw you).
Word Count: 100
Rating: PG
Summary: Anna's still looking for Delia.
Warnings: none.
Notes: Remember that work problem? Pride month #8.
There was a woman on the concourse with thick dark hair, and Anna was still looking for Delia in every crowd, still hoping uselessly... But it wasn't Delia, didn't even really look like her. Anna turned back to her daughter's worried little frown.
"What's wrong, Mommy?" Pia asked. "What did you see?"
Your mother, she could have said, or a ghost. But Pia was still too young for the truth. Besides, those wise brown eyes, that soft face, they were Delia's, and maybe Anna had been looking in the wrong place.
"Nothing special," she said, and took her daughter's hand.
