Story: In the Heart - Hunger Games AU

Supplies and Materials: Novelty beads (armed children), mosaic (Hunger Games), eraser (Hunger Games AU), miniature, photography, nubs (of Reaper), seed beads (Hugh).

Summary: Hugh isn't at the Reaping.
Warnings: death of a child.
Notes: Hello, naughty readers, time to suffer!
Hugh doesn't go to the Reaping.
He should have, but one of his patients was dying; he couldn't leave the boy, so he missed the whole thing, start to finish, Reaping and interviews and the start of the Games. It's a very small bright spot in the neverending round. He hates the Games. He'd avoid them altogether if he could, but there's no excuse once the boy gasps out his life, so he joins his coworkers for the second day's broadcast.
He's just in time to watch his daughter die.

This serves me for not reading all the way through the block of text at the top, lol! Great work, I mean awful in the sense that I was mosying along this morning eating breakfast and catching up on my rainbowfic backlog when this hit me like a sack full of coal, but in that sense, very impactful!
