Provence Lavender #9, Moonlight #13

Warnings: Memory erasing and its aftermath, Michaela taking Simon's mind away with and without his consent, abuse, depiction of depression. I think that probably covers everything, but please let me know if I missed something.
Notes: Constructive criticism welcome, as always.

in the beginning, he welcomed it; the touch of michaela's cool and kind and healing hands on his mind, the sweet, painless emptiness of thought that followed.

and he does, still, sometimes--there are moments, there will probably always be moments, where he longs for michaela to come to him, longs for the angel to bring him peace, if only for a while.

but there are times when he tries to run, to resist, to hold on to what precious little stability he's built into his own mind, on his own terms; times that he balks when michaela darkens his doorway, a too-tall, monstrous silhouette, unrelenting, inescapable.

(those times are more and more frequent, after ruth.)

today--today he is neither welcoming nor unwilling; neither grateful nor resentful; he is just...tired. tired of the pain, tired of running, tired of the constant back and forth, in and out, remembering and forgetting and remembering again.

today, he closes his eyes, michaela's cold and hard and alien hands on his mind, and submits.
