Spring Green
Name: Sebastian
Story: None
Colors: Spring Green: 12. there's no time for doubt right now
Supplies and Styles: None
Word Count: 191
Warnings: Nothing
Summary: She has a choice to make and not much time to make it in
Notes This is the result of realizing I've done next to nothing to celebrate this month and that is a shame. So yes, have a little snippet of a thing that can also be blamed on listening to too much Seanan McGuire. But y'know, that's always a valid life choice so.
She has six seconds to decide. To choose between a life at home, a life filled with family and friends, a future peddling stories to the young and old and a little house by the seaside...
Or she could take a step, join a dance and leave that all behind.
She could go with the Scarecrow Queen and her children, become one of them and see what lays in wait for her in a future that is not written out.
Now she knows what she is supposed to do, there enough stories int he world that tell her she should grow up, abandon flights of fancy and embrace telling the stories instead of living them.
But this isn't a story for her, though it may be for someone else. She steps forward, taking the Scarecrow Queen's hand and takes in a deep breath.
She feels her body shift, wings replacing arms, feathers all over.
The new Princess of Crows flaps her wings, cries out her lopsided song, and takes to the air, welcoming the wind in her wings and the October sky that stretched out before her.
