Notes Space Witch! Aw yeah, it's been a while since i did anything with her but I am excited to get back to poking her universe a little bit.

There's a blanket of stars over everything, the blackness surrounding them from all sides. They aren't going anywhere, just floating idle as she tries to determine what she's doing next. Astor isn't in a hurry and her ship is at the same pace. Nothing is falling apart, nothing needs their attention.

It's peaceful, albeit a little unnerving. SHew's waiting for something to come up, something to go wrong.

Peace is hardly something that lasts, she knows that for certain, but the waiting is going to be what drives her up a wall and out of her skin. She's never been good at waiting and she can hardly be expected to have gotten better att it over thee years.

Astor watches the monitors, eying their options on where they might go next. Something is telling her she won't be idle much longer but hse's not sure why. It's instinct though and she's hardly one to doubt such things. She's had too much go wrong because she did just that.

She starts the ship in the direction of somewhere familiar. A little planet she knows of that won't take more than a day'ss travel from where they are. Whether her peace will last or not doesn't matter so much as having somewhere to go does. Idle has never really been her style and having an idea where they might go may settle her brain a little.

Restless thoughts, concerns and a tinge of anxiety all are percolating in her brain to leave her a little ill at ease. Maybe with a destination on the horizon, she'll be able to relax.

~

She arrives close to sunset, the city below her looking like a thousand little stars. Landing is simple enough and she has her paperwork in order so it'ts only paying for her spot and then off into the world for a little while.

Astor considers a bar, getting a little tipsy and maybe meeting a local or two but something tells her she should stay sharp. So she winds up walking, her mind turning over the uneasy feeling and the anticipatory clock ticking in her mind. Something is coming, something she should be ready for, but like any world above or below does she have a clue what that is yet.

Her eyes drift towards the sky, watching the different patterns of stars and streaks above her. A part of her wants to ask for an answer, to look up at the stars and demand an explanation, but she knows better than that. If she gets an answer, she might not like it and she'll only have herself to blame for it.

Though it may just be better than this stupid waiting, she's not entirely sure anymore.

She considers pulling the cards out from her bag, pulling one for the future to see what the Workers of the universe have to say but she hesitates. Again, if she gets an answer she doesn't like, she can't blame anyone but herself for the knowing. On the flip side, she'll know what's coming and can prepare.

One hand moves into her bag, finding the smaller one which holds the cards and fingering the ties for a moment. It wouldn't be inviting anything, not anything more than she already invites just by doing what she does, and it might help....

She pulls out the bag, reaches for the cards and starts to shuffle.

"Come what may, come what might," she mutters to herself,f the old children's song echoing in her head. "Show me what I need tonight."

YAY SPACE WITCH. I love the forebodings here-- though that's not the quite right word, since it's not necessarily bad. Anyway, I wish her luck.
