Muscles moved in shoulders not hers, hard-calloused paws hit dirt and rocks, solid but muted. Night breeze through fur, like extra skin. Nice. Faint and far away. Shay's presence slipped into her field-of-thought again, urging her forward, and Jackie concentrated, pushing further into the sensation. She opened her eyes a little, and blurrishly vertical strips resolved themselves into trees. She smelled forest, and warm humidity, and a rabbit; the dog was on the trail. It was hungry.

For a moment, she even felt Shay in the same body, lightly under the dog's skin, the vague sensation of familiar-humanshape-canineshape filtered through her and the animal's senses. Packmate. The dog paused and wagged its tail a little, sniffing the air with confusion. Amusement, coming from Shay.

This is freaky, said Jackie. Shay sent a bit of affirmation in response.

You'll get used to it.

Oooh. Are they sharing a body? That's really cool! The descriptions are really awesome.
