Summary: She's not ready to go home.
Notes: New girls from Cityverse! I've ben meaning to write about the club kids but kind of forget they are a thing sometimes. The initial setup of this universe is very different than what it is now and honestly, there are so many people populating it that I forget who belongs here sometimes.
Everything is quiet and almost all the lights are off. Mitzy is quiet as she moves through the club, feet falling silently on the ground. She's not trying to be quiet but it comes naturally to her.
Most everyone is gone who doesn't live upstairs. Maxwell and Aurora are in the back and she can hear them talking, not that she's listening in or anything. Most of the other girls are gone though she thinks Codie mist still be around. She tends to stay around as long as other people are still hanging around.
ANd Mitzy herself? Well, she plans to be here until either the sun comes up or she is forced out, which is highly unlikely. Maxwell isn't the kind of guy to throw someone out if they don't feel like going home unless something big is happening.
Codie comes through the back door, studies Mitzy for a moment, then smiles, an expression that looks a little off on her when she's not trying to do it for customers.
"Are you well?" Her head is tilted a little and pink strands of hair fall against her face.
"M'all right." Mitzy sighs, walking a little closer. "Just having a weird night."
"DO you not want to go home?" Codie phrases it as a question, even though she already knew.
"Kinda. I got a lot of stuff waiting for me back there. Schoolwork and...stuff."
Cody reaches out, her fingers brushing Mitzzy's hand. "You don't want to go back to the mundane?"
"Not...exactly?" Mitzy smiles a little. "It's not like I don't want to, just....It seems like there's a lot going on right now and I don't want to be left out, you know?"
She nods. "It's not safe for you to get too deep, you know."
"Yeah, yeah." Mitzy waves one hand in the air. "But it's better than being on the sidelines, left behind just because I'm not someone with a cool power or whatever."
"You know it's not always that great."
She nods. "And I also know that if I go back home, try and do schoolwork or make breakfast or whatever I decide to do, I'm only going to be thinking what's going on around here. I want to say I can just up and ignore the whole ting but that's totally not the case."
Codie nods, closing the rest of the distance between them. Her eyes are watching Mitzy's mouth and it's only a moment before she does it that Mitzy realizes she's going to get kissed.
It was going to be quick, she's sure of it, but she keeps Codie there for a few extra moments, taking control of the kiss and biting lightly at Codie's lower lip. In the back of her mind, she makes jokes about kissing angles but decides not to share them aloud.
"You know I'll be fine," Mitzy says when they finally break apart.
"I know that you'll try."
She nods, having to give her that one. "Yeah, okay. I'll do my best but no promises."
Codie's smile is a little sad now, fingers wrapping around Mitzy's wrist. "Be safe," she starts. "Be as safe as you can."
"I will."
"Go home even?"
Mitzy shakes her head. "Not yet. Soon though."
Maxwell and Aurora come out from the back, both of them with drinks in their hands.
"Are you two staying over?" Maxwell asks, sounding a little excited over the prospect. "Because I've got the room."
Mitzy looks over to Codie, then to Maxwell and Aurora. "I'll stay for a while but I've got to get home at some point today."
"Great! Come into the back then, I'll start doing the bartending thing."
Mitzy laughs at the enthusiasm and at Aurora, who's rolling her eyes a little and smiling fondly all at once.
They all head towards the back rooms, Mitzy and Codie linking arms and trailing after the other two.

Thank you! I don't write for Mitzy often but I really like when I do actually do stuff with her.

She would get in heaps of trouble without them, I think. XD

Mitzy is one of my favorites, she really is. SHe's happy and bouncy and just a normal person in this universe who happens to get caught up in all the crazy supernatural shit that comes with working in the club and whatnot.
