Summary: Reverence only matters when it matters to you.
Notes: My brain is weird and thus, you are getting a short, weird little drabble.
They tell her to pray, to go on her knees, to worship.
They say she owes it to her god, that she should be grateful, that she should honor who brought her into the world.
But they don't know that her mother read her stories all her life, that she told her about witches, about foxes, about the men who try and tell her who she is.
When she prays, it's not to any god above but rather, to the stories and their creators, never pausing in her reverence until death.
