Spring Green
Name: Sebastian
Story: This City's Got Grace
Colors: Spring Green: 15. I wanna make you proud
Supplies/Styles: none
Word Count: 302
Warnings: Nothing in this one
Summary: Cillian tries to catch some birds. It doesn't work.
Notes: Reminding myself that I know how to write fluff.
"You messy boy,." Charlene clucks her tongue as she scrubs at his hair, trying to get out all the stuff he'd managed to gather while accidentally diving straight into the trash containers earlier that day. "You know not to go chasing after birds."
"I wanted to catch them." he says, grinning at her. If he'd been in his proper form, his tail would have been wagging like mad. "Wanted to bring them back for you."
"Yes, dear. I understand that but look where it gets you. No bird and terribly dirty."
He nods, head hanging a little. "Yeah, I know."
Prodding the bubbles with one hand, he looks back up at her. "I just wanted to give you something. Something good. Birds are good. I could catch them if they didn't go flying off."
"They're not going to stop, love." She laughs a little. "It's in their nature."
He sighs, slumping a little. "Yeah, I just wanted to get one though. Just one. I'd bring him back and you'd have him and you'd be proud and it'd be great."
Biting at his lip, he raises one hand to idly play with the bubbles for a moment before she's reaching out and stretching his am so she can scrub at it. "Stupid birds."
"You know I'm proud of you already." she points out. "You're the best dog I've had and I don't need you catching birds to remind me of that."
He nods a little, looking at her. "Really? Promise?"
"I promise." Leaning forward, she drops a quick kiss against his nose. "As long as you can at least try to not run into the bins again. Even if you do, you're still my best boy."
He grins, tongue poking out just a little as he does so. "Yeah, okay. I can try."
