Taz had seen firework displays--true fireworks, with gunpowder and secret ingredients. And she'd seen lightning displays, from Dallu for combat and navigation back on the Glory, and celebrations since they'd moved up here.
But none of that--the true fireworks or the previous lightning displays--compared to what her new husband's family put together for their wedding.
Multicolored arcs of lightning, high in the sky and then low over the water, dancing in and around the ice, casting reflections, and rainbows through glacial prisms, surrounding her and her beloved, welcoming her into their family and lighting the way into their future together.
