Gail was done. So very much done.

Well, she'd been done, ever since she got pregnant and Brad accused her of trying to trap him. But for her daughter's sake, she'd tried to keep him around. Ivy deserved a father, even if he was an awful person.

Then he no-showed one time too many. Then he smoked around her child. Then he ignored Ivy or shouted at her for crying, never mind that she was an infant.

She stroked Ivy's back and glared sightless out the window. If he ever came back, she was going to throw him out of it.
