Summary: Peter's like an itch beneath her skin.
Warnings: none
Notes: Round these parts we call cotton candy candyfloss. Or we would if we had any sense.

Peter's like an itch beneath her skin.

Miranda doesn't know quite what to do with him. He isn't like her usual run of lover; men she picks up in bars with an under-the-lashes look and a red-painted mouth. Those aren't men one keeps. But Peter...

She wants to open up to him. That scares her.

She knows herself. There's not much to like under the sleek, smiling shell. She's poisoned candyfloss; pretty on the outside, deadly within. And she likes Peter. He's got under her skin. She likes him very much.

This would be so much easier if she didn't.
