Warnings: There's a little bit of emotional abuse towards the end and Anya is 16 and sleeping with random people. Don't know if that's a warning but it' a content note if nothing else.
Notes: Today's main focus is Anya from Cupcakeverse! She's a firecracker and willing to fuck you up but she's got a soft heart and will adopt people easily. Especially if they're not in a great situation.

She does this dance sometimes, goes out, gets dressed, plays with her hair and pretends to be one of those girls who's...not like what she is now.

Different. Happy.

She smiles at guys, lures them in even. She plays with them, dancing, letting them get her drinks, whatever she feels like doing that night. Then she gets bored.

Because none of these stupid men, and a few of the stupid women, are what she's looking for.

Not that she knows what she's looking for; a sixteen year old girl with a fake ID and a mind to get in trouble hardly knows what she wants most of the time.

But she keeps doing it anyway, drinking until she doesn't care and own't get bored, then going home with whoever strikes her fancy.

Getting up the day after always hurt a little, walking away from people still stings in a way she doesn't understand, but she makes trek back home and pretends she wasn't out all night.

Their words echo in her head, not offering comfort exactly but giving her something better than what she'll be greeted with at home.

"Your'e so sexy."

"You stupid girl."

"You look great in that."

"You worthless cow."

Both sentiments hurt, just in different ways.

Katya is waiting for her, window unlatched so she can get in. It her that keeps Anya coming back. If it weren't for her, she would have just gone home with one of those men and never returned again.

But she' still here, still breathing, so she always comes back, always slips through the window in the early morning and tells her sister that she was on adventure, meeting a handsome prince who wanted to sweep her away, but she couldn't go without her sister.

Katya smiles, giggling and clapping her hands with glee at the story. It makes her relax a little. If she can't offer her anything else, if she can't get them out of here, or make things change, she can at least offer her fairy tales.

Oh, this is painful and I feel so bad for Anya. And I like that she's watching out for her sister, too, the best way she can.

Ow. Ow ow ow ow ow. I'm so glad I know Anya gets to a comfortable, safe place later. Does Katya?
