Sulphur #18, Sienna #2
Name: shadowsong26
Story: Defense
'Verse: Feredar
Colors: Sulphur #18. Unclean, Sienna #2. preservation
Supplies and Materials: canvas (966 FY. Taz is about eight, Kes is about six), acrylic,
Word Count: 158
Rating: PG
Characters: Taz and Kes Hantree
Warnings: Bullying
Notes: Constructive criticism welcome, as always.
Taz squelched through the mud to get between Kes and the older boy. "Leave her alone!"
He shoved at her a little. "She started it!"
She shoved back. "You're twice her size. An' she barely knows how to use her magic. Try harder."
"Why're you defendin' her? She's Unthreaded, she's just gonna hold you back."
She yanked the water out of the mud and froze him in place. "If I catch you pushin' my sister around again--either of my sisters--or sayin' stupid shit like that, I'll cut you into pieces and feed you to an octopus." She kicked him, then spun around. "C'mon, Kes, we're goin' home."
They'd have to stop and tell the teacher on the way back--and Taz would probably get in trouble herself for using her magic like that, but she didn't care. As long as stuipdheads like him left her sisters alone, she'd put up with whatever they could dish out.
