When Kes was little, she dreamed about monsters in the deep.

She heard stories of things coming up in nets that had to be seen to be believed. Monsters big as headless whales, but with miles of teeth and tentacles to drag unwary sailors to their doom.

She was more fascinated then frightened--after all, she'd always have Taz, and nothing could take them together. Not even the most jagged-toothed, tentacled monster there was.

So she dreamed, and watched the nets, hoping for her own story, one that had to be seen to be believed--her own monster from the deep.

I have a sincere desire to swim in this story with Kes and I am so OK with that.

Kes is so awesome. I hope she does get to meet a monster. A friendly monster.
