Warnings: Uh... use of fantasy recreational substances?
Summary: I drew a thing and it's not the same scene as the fic but I have a new AU now. Have a snippet of fantasy college Jaymie.

"You couldn't have known, brother."
The room was still and quiet, save the flutter of the window-curtains in the breeze; Lang's words rippled blue-violet. Jaymie didn't respond. Lang sat up and took another drink- limeish-bright and fizzy- from the table and downed it in one go.
He shuddered and lay back down, sitting the glass on his bare chest. "Birds get old. Birds die. Fuck her if she blames you."
"All things must pass," emanated from Jaymie's mouth.
Lang nodded sagely.
Jaymie remembered to blink. The act stirred up a thought.
"Fffuck. We have lecture."
Lang sighed. "Existence is suffering."
