The news of Gino’s outing reaches Dan the day it happens, thanks to his siblings. He makes a mental note to give Gino a free round or two the next time he stops by.

“You know, Dan, I can’t help but think that was a non-reaction, even by your standards,” Torey says to him, a little later. “Something tells me you weren’t even surprised.”

He smiles. “Maybe. Maybe not.”

Torey laughs at that. “I think you actually might have been the first to know. Definitely one of the first, at least.”

“A good bartender never tells,” he says, grinning back.

DAN KNOWS ALL. No, he really, really does. Not just because half the time they get drunk and tell him everything.

I love this, mostly because I love Dan so much. It's so... him. I love his non-reaction to Gino too. And, hell yeah, the kid deserves a free round.
