Mystic Beach Blue 13: Fancy
Author: Kat
Title: Fancy
Story: Shine Like It Does - 'Fess Up AU
Colors: Mystic beach blue 13 (this picture)
Supplies and Materials: Modeling clay (romance), eraser ('Fess Up AU)
Word Count: 223
Rating: PG
Summary: Jack and Felix on their honeymoon.
Warnings: none.
Notes: Secret message to SWL: this will have a continuation, I swear.
"I gotta admit," Felix said, looking around the room as Jack put the bags down, "I'm pleasantly surprised."
"Oh, ye of little faith," Jack said, and stood up, bent backwards with his hands against the small of his back. Felix had packed a lot of books. "I figured you wouldn't want anything fancy."
Felix gave him a dry look. "And this isn't fancy?"
Jack shrugged. The hotel itself wasn't anything special, though they did have the honeymoon suite, done up in pale pinks and rosepetal white with one big bed. It was the location that made it special: out on the bay on sunken metal posts, nothing but blue-green water surrounding the rooms. You had to walk all the way back past the other rooms, past the hotel lobby in its own separate building and down a long wooden walkway before you reached land again. Or you could take a boat-- there was a dock at every freestanding room.
But still, that didn't necessarily qualify it as fancy. "It's a nice place. It's just not overdone."
"Mm, yeah." Felix came over, trailing his hand along the wallpaper. "I like it. I really do. And it does have one serious benefit."
Jack lifted an eyebrow, but couldn't keep the smile off his face. "Yeah? What's that?"
"Privacy," Felix breathed, and pulled him in close.
