Admin Yellow 20: Beauty Fades
Author: Kat
Title: Beauty Fades
Story: In the Heart
Colors: Admin yellow 20 (Change will happen whether you embrace it or not.)
Supplies and Materials: Graffiti (Lilith Fair Village Stage: Beauty Fades, Terra Naomi), brush (florescence), acrylic (I just need more time), glitter (Sex, Lenny Kravitz), glue (Rolling with the punches isn't as easy as it sounds.)
Word Count: 116
Rating: PG
Summary: Yvonne and beauty.
Warnings: Yvonne.
Notes: And finally a sonnet.
Beauty fades, but hers will not. Her looks
are all she has, her strength and all her coins.
Without her face, her body, all her hooks
Hook into nothing. Now, when she enjoins
a man with fluttered lashes for her will.
she gets results. He gives her what she wants.
Without her smile, all she sounds is shrill
and ghosts of former glories are her haunts.
But that's far off. She's young and lovely now.
Her curves entice, her hair is golden glow.
She'll win a heart with slightly furrowed brow
And with a crooked finger, steal a beau.
But beauty fades: this warning she'll not hear
Until too late, her hopes dead on a bier.
