Last Chalk White! ^^
Freya chuckles when a splash of water hits her on the chest, because it’s summer and it’s hot and she doesn’t mind some refreshment.
The kids are playing in the set-up swimming pool. It only has a diameter of two meters and it has but a depth of a meter, but it’s enough. The kids can play in the water and that is all they need with this hot weather.
There is a small smile on Freya’s face when she lays herself down on the grass for some sunbathing.
-
Opening her eyes again – it seems only five minutes ago that she closed them, but seeing the sun, it must have been longer – she sees the kids still playing in the pool. Seeing how she’s feeling way too hot from the sunbathing, she decides to join them. the kids cheer when she steps into the water. Shivering only a little when she remembers just how cold the water is. Without a second thought she holds her breath and gets completely under. When she comes back up, the kids are still cheering and she feels reborn.
-
There are too many kids in this tub
There are too many elbows to scrub
I just washed a behind that I'm sure wasn't mine
There are too many kids in this tub.
The poem spontaneously comes to her mind and it makes her laugh softly. The kids don’t hear it, too busy laughing themselves, too busy playing. And Freya can’t help but think she is lucky she doesn’t has to wash them all herself and all at the same time. She’d be exhausted afterwards.

A sudden movement at the end of the huge garden of the orphanage catches her eye. Turning her head she sees a squirrel, running up a tree. Smiling she nudges Krista, the girl sitting next to her, and points to the tree when she has the girl’s attention. She knows how much she loves animals.
Their eyes widen when they suddenly see a little squirrel following. Cute and fluffy and it quickly follows its mum up to the safety of the high tree.
