Summary: Freya wanting to go to the sea and Nick not stopping her.

"I want to go to the sea."
Nick looks up from the book he is reading.
"I want to get out of town. I… Even if it's just for a day. Even if just for today. It's too hot here. Too muggy, too cramped. I need some space, some fresh air. I..."
She stops rambling when Nick smiles and nods and gets up from the couch. Holding out his hand for her.
"Let's go to the beach."
Hesitantly Freya takes a hold of his hand, relishes in the warm firm grip.
“You’re not even going to ask? You’re not even going to argue or object or…?”
Surprised she sees him shake his head. “No, why should I? You know your body. You know yourself. You know your limits. I know you wouldn’t ask this, or do this, if you yourself felt like you couldn’t handle it.”
He smiles and kisses her lips when he passes her to get his stuff together. For a moment she doesn’t know what to say, and finally a hesitant smile finds its way to her own lips. Happy.
She all but runs to their bedroom, tackling him to the bed in her enthusiasm to hug him. “Wow, easy there.” But he laughs and turns around in her arms to face her and return her hug. Gently he kisses her cheeks, moving up to her nose and her eyes and her forehead, before moving down again and gently kiss her lips.
“Come on, let’s go.”
Smiling she let’s go off him, kissing him once more before getting off the bed. Picking up her handbag she adds a bottle of sun block. “I’m ready.”
There is such a radiant smile at her face that it makes Nick smile. Of course he notices the twinkling in her eyes.
“Are you really taking these papers with you?”
She nods, takes his hand into hers and walks towards the door. “Yeah, we have a one-hour train ride coming up. I would like you to teach me how to fold a crane.”
Chuckling he follows her. Closing the door behind them. “Okay.”

“And then you fold it like that.”
He looks at her, sees how her fingers try to copy his move. Gently he places his hand over hers. “No, like this.” Carefully he guides her movement.
Giggling she leans against his side, letting her head rest on his shoulder, watching how his fingers – joined with hers – finish the crane.
“Okay, I think I got it.” She takes another paper, another color, and starts folding. Smiling she sees how Nick also takes another paper, a red one this time. There’s already a white crane, a yellow one and a green one. She’s now trying a blue one, alone…
“Now I fold it like this, no?”
Looking aside she sees him nod. Surprised she looks at his paper. The creases are completely different from hers. “What are you making?”
He just smiles at her without replying.
“Alright… I guess I’ll see when you’ve finished.”
Nodding he nudges her gently, prompting her to continue her crane. It makes Freya roll her eyes, but she stays silent and continues folding.
“Look at this. My very first crane…”
She holds it in the palm of her hand, looks at him with proud eyes. “Nice one.” Carefully Nick takes it off her hand and places it on the little table, next to the others. “Want to give it another try?”
Nodding she takes a green paper and starts folding again. “It works rather calming…”
“Yeah. I know.”
Wrapping an arm around her shoulder, he kisses her cheek, before holding out his hand. “For you.”
Her eyes widen a little when she sees the origami heart. Biting her lip she takes it in her hands, before turning to face him. Slowly she moves towards him, kissing him gently. Whispering a soft ‘I love you’ against his lips.
