Colors: Chalk White #9. "I am writing these poems/From inside a lion/And it's rather dark in here.", English Red #15. The eagle suffers little birds to sing. (Titus Andronicus, IV.iv), English Green #8. If I be waspish, best beware my sting. (The Taming of the Shrew, II.i)
Supplies and Materials: bichromatic, fingerpainting (new poetry form plus second-person), photography, eraser (Evil Kira AU), feathers, charcoal (technically, in this AU), pastels (my current gen + romance card O4 "discipline"), glitter ("The secret of change is to focus all of your energy, not on fighting the old, but on building the new." – Socrates)

Notes: Constructive criticism welcome, as always. This AU is entirely SWL's fault. I have no idea where it's going other than somewhere very, very dark and creepy.
anticipation--shivering on the edge of a knife,
knowing you can bend the world, force it to obey
your every desire, your every word.
at first, you plan to only safeguard life,
make sure that no one is undeserving cast away
make sure that every too-quite voice is heard.
but then--one taste, and all you see is strife,
a world full of things, worth less than you can say,
who tarnish what should be a perfect world.
and so, perfection--that becomes your strife,
to reshape the world along with what you say
and who could deny you? this is your world,
your universe, you see each twist in every life.
you chase the paths and force them on away
from the journeys that should be never seen, never heard.
this, then, is your vision: you strip away your mother's knife,
become the architect of the new world, all obey;
all try--and fail--to anticipate the all-seeing queen's word.
anticipation, after all, is yours and yours alone.
