Surprised she looks aside, not having seen him take a look at his cell phone. Until she hears the bell tower. Midnight.
He holds out his hand.
"Sorry it's not gift wrapped."
She shakes her head, smiling, and kisses him deeply. Before she looks through the kaleidoscope, despite it being night, she sees lots of colours.
"How did you know?"
He just pulls up his shoulders and kisses her.
