It does, in the long run, I think. Not as well as things go in the Ruth AU, just because Ruth means something different than David does, and David's acceptance/forgiveness doesn't have...quite the same weight, because of Miriam. But he's still much better off with David and his descendants looking out for him than he was with just Michaela. MUCH better.
