Drinks lead to
dinner leads to
twilight walk leads to
the park, and evening,
plush purple cloud-lit skies
and some unnameable flower blooming in the dusk.

The park holds the
swingset holds the
swings holds now
Ivy, who arches, gleefully,
kicks the wind back and forth
and climbs the heavens, hair like flames caught in the whirlwind.

The sky watches
Ivy watches
Gina watches
Ivy, laughing bright,
swinging high and joyous
and her stomach swoops as the wind catches her up, as she rises,

and falls.
