Bittersweet 4: Heartbreak
Author: Kat
Title: Heartbreak
Story: In the Heart
Colors: Bittersweet 4 (fond farewell)
Supplies and Materials: Miniature, reimaging (of Experience), fingerpainting (see notes), glitter ("The weak can never forgive. Forgiveness is the attribute of the strong." – Mahatma Gandhi), beading wire (sunrise), novelty beads (Time will leave the ashes and the dawn/You rise and meet the day - Dar Williams, You Rise and Meet The Day), graffiti (Reduce).
Word Count: 83
Rating: G
Summary: Hold on to lessons, not to present pain.
Warnings: none
Notes: This is an acrostic poem in iambic pentameter. THAT'S RIGHT, BITCHES. And yes, this is essentially what Experience boils down to.
Hold on to lessons, not to present pain
Else broken hearts and hopes will never heal.
A loss is sent to teach us, not in vain;
Regret, perhaps, but do not cease to feel.
There's joy to come in future's hopeful eye;
Believe that fate has better still in store;
Revel in love, then let go with a sigh.
Elusive are the hearts that you adore.
And when in lovers' arms at last you soar;
Keep grateful for the ones who came before
