Story: In the Heart
Colors: Bubblegum pink 9 (Blankie), electric purple 17 (I called you after midnight/Then ran until I burst/I passed the howling woman/And stood outside your door (The Cure- The Walk)) with shipwreck_light's paint-by-numbers (He's vaguely aware of the fact he's dreaming, but his heart still pounds.)
Supplies and Materials: Miniature, canvas (Aaron is about four), novelty beads (this gif), glitter (vulnerable).

Summary: Little Aaron has this piece of comfort, anyway.

Notes:
In the dream Mommy was going.
It made sense. Mommy was always going somewhere. Mommy did not like to stay, Daddy told him. She loved them, but there was something inside her that wouldn't let her stay. And Mommy always came back.
Still, Aaron didn't like the dream. It always made him feel sad when he woke up, and though he could walk down the hallway and cuddle with Daddy, he didn't, because Daddy wasn't Mommy.
His blankie wasn't Mommy either, but she made it, so it was something to hold on to.
It made him feel a little better.
