Halloween Orange
Name: Charley
Story: None
Colors: Halloween Orange - I think you'll find the line is fine between the saint and sinner.
Rating: PG 13
Warnings: Death, mention mad science on humans
Notes: Still feeling out this story and what I want to do with it. nothing is set in stone and I am working on how I want to tell it/who will be involved and the like.
She saved me.
In the end, that's what matters, that's what I have to remember. Even after she tore me up, broke me down and built me into something else. Even after she ran me through the Woods over and over again. Even after I found out that my family was gone because of her,, she saved me.
And I can't say that all of it is her fault. She was only doing what she thought was right. She had been told, just as I had, that it was for the good of the world, all of them really. They wove stories together, lies to keep us passive and doing what they wanted.
And we believed them.
I believed them.
More than that, she believed them.
And then she realized that I was beautiful.
I don't know how it happened, don't know if she woke up one day and decided that I was lovely, but it happened. She looked at me and her eyes glittered. She touched me and her hands no longer were clinical but carried a gentleness to them, a sweetness I didn't understand.
She set me free that day, broke me out of my bonds and took me away into the Woods.
I don't know what she thought we would do there, I don't know if she assumed that we would live happily together amidst fairytale lies and wonderful madness but I think it's what she wanted.
What she got was my hands around her throat. What she got was blood.
Because even though she saved me, it was far too late. I knew what had become of my family, I could feel what they did to my mind.
I was not her love toy, I was not her obedient doll. I wasn't even her partner. I was her death come calling, she just didn't realize it.
I left her body in the woods for the cats to eat, not even bothering to dig a grave. She may have saved e but I sure wasn't going to return the favor.
