Summary: Because they have their black belt jujitsu, they had to follow a theoretical course about ‘weapons’
Notes: Constructive criticism is, as always, welcome
"There are quite some forbidden weapons in our law, but... Perhaps I've missed it, but... A katana. Or even a normal sword. Is not forbidden?"
Nick shakes his head, pointing to the next point on their papers. Smiles when their eyes meet.
"Lucky you. Otherwise I should have to report you..."
It earns him a light punch against his arm before they pay attention again.
"So, that was the theory. Anyone still have a question?"
"Yeah. So, if I walk across the street, with a spade - borrowed from my neighbour because I don't have one - I'm punishable?"
They all laugh, even the instructor.
"Yes, in theory, you are. Because it can be a danger for other people around you."
Freya rolls her eyes. Whispers to Nick. "Damn, I have a problem. If I can't carry that spade around, how am I going to burry that body?"
He chuckles softly. Knowing she said it just loud enough so the others can still hear it.
"By the way, if I recall well, you do have some forbidden weapons at your place. A nunchaku, for example..."
Nick grins broadly. "It's needed for training..."
She smiles and bumps her shoulder against his. "How about a normal free fight when we get home? The weather is perfect for a training in the park. shall I warn the others?"
The look of excitement on Nick's face is all the answer she needs.
