Notes: Ohhh, it's been awhile since I've written in this verse. I really need to get back into the swing of telling this story again,, I ust failed so hard at putting it on paper last year Hopefully that will change.



Before that night, it was perfect.

The world turned the right way, the words came in the right order. Before that night, they were happy, the three of them. They loved each other and their lives and reveled in what they had.

And then that night came and the world changed.

This is the end, this is the end, this is the end of everything.

Callum sings to himself, rocking back and forth. He hums strange tunes that make Ethan nervous and make Tess sick to her stomach. He tries not to but the music comes so easily to him now, it's like breathing.

Welcome to a new world, an old world, a world of myth and magic..

The three of them? They're ghosts these days, pale shadows of who they used to be.

Sure, they look the same but there’s more blood in their lives, more forgetting. Th word doesn't turn right, the words never come in the same order twice.

Callum dances between worlds as Ethan weaves his memories back together and Tess? Tess just tries to survive.

The nights are long and tiring, filled with fears that none of them speak of. It didn't used to be this way, didn't used to be filled with nerves and waiting and tension.

But that was a long time ago.

Now they wait fr the call of the Fae, now they wait for Ethan to remember and Callum to have to leave and bleed and fight for what's theirs..

It's no longer a life they revel in but one that leaves them longing for a time before, a time when their lives were so much less magical.

Oh, I love this. The last sentence brings everything together so well--the dark side of a "magical life." Great work.

Oh, wow, that second miniature is AMAZING. I mean, the whole thing is great, but that one thing in particular is just... wow. I especially like how this calls a magical life out as being undesirable. It's so rare to find that sort of attitude in fiction. Nice job!

I kind of forget this universe exists until I find myself really, really wanting ot do all the thing sin it. I've been working on it on anfd off for about four years and I do love it, I just...get distracted with all the other shiny ideas in my brain. XD
