Crimson #12
Name: Blossom
Story: Fixed Dreams
Colors: Crimson 12. (I don't trust air I can't see.)
Supplies and Styles: Brush (hypermnesia), finger painting
Title: It's Real
Word Count: 168
Rating: PG-13
Summary: It's not a joke to Tsukino.
Warnings: mentions of depression, people brushing aside mental illness as not real, very triggery
Notes: I got this in my head after something that happened. This can be very triggery please proceed with caution. It's short, but one of my most serious pieces I've written in a while. Enjoy,
Tsukino knew it wasn’t a good idea to tell her mother what was going on with her, but Kazu and her friends encouraged her that nothing would go wrong. She believed it, until she told her. She could still see the way her mother frowned and scoffed at the notion.
“How can you be depressed if we provided everything for you? You have a job, friends, and a boyfriend how can you be depressed? I don’t think you went to the hospital for depression, I think it’s because you spent extra hours at the office. You can’t be depressed. It’s not real.”
Tsukino wiped her eyes as she stopped at the light.
Just because it’s not visible doesn’t mean it’s not real. She knew she should have said it, but she didn’t want to get into another argument with her mother. She had enough to last her for a while.
She wiped her eyes again on her way home.
At least Kazu and her friends knew it was real.
