Rafael smiles when he buries his face against the fabric. Taking in the smell of ‘new’.
Alex is whining next to him when he sees how happy his older brother is.
“Will you stop. Mum gave you an action figure. It’s what you wanted.”
Alex waves it around as if it doesn’t mean a thing. “But I want…”
Without letting the kid finish, Rafael takes a hold of the figure. “Good, then you don’t need this.”
Quickly he throws it away, knowing his mother has already entered the shop to buy him a new sweater. His brother's nearly going crazy.
