Tequila Rose and Chocolate Brown with Acrylic, Pastels, Glue, and Eraser
Author: Nikki
Colors: Tequila Rose 4. And the one who doesn't take the whole/Doesn't get the half either, Chocolate Brown 7. Nestle
Styles/Supplies: Acrylic, Pastels (Card 2, I5: truth), Glue (A calculated risk could be your smartest strategy, especially if you're willing to act methodically, rather than impulsively.), Eraser (Joy/Chloe AU)
Story: Second Genesis; the title of this is 'Morning Gently Tiptoes.'
Summary: Chloe sneaks in after a weekend with Joy.
Word Count: 365
Rating: G
Chloe was careful to be quiet when she unlocked the door. There was no point in sneaking in if she wasn't going to be quiet. She tried to reason that it wasn't really sneaking in; after all, she came home early in the morning from Jax's all the time, and her daddies thought she had been there all weekend. She didn't like lying to them, but they wouldn't be very happy if they knew where she actually had been: at a hotel all weekend with Joy.
Of course, there was also no point in sneaking in if they were waiting in the living room for her. Chloe nearly said hello, before she saw the credit card statement on the coffee table and that both of them had 'You need a good story' looks on their faces. So much for that. She considered her bed upstairs and then thought about walking further into the living room to talk, before she sighed.
"Her name is Joy, she's 20, I like her a lot, and Daddy has already met her," she stated, before turning to walk up the stairs. "So has Jax and he likes her too, and I want to nap some before school."
"Chloe," Oz started, before Andy interrupted him.
"She had the roses tattoo, with the butterfly?" he asked.
She paused on the stairs. "She said she added the butterfly because of me," Chloe answered, affection surging through her. "And she's taking care of it, Daddy, don't worry."
There was a moment of silence where Chloe didn't move; she didn't know if she'd be allowed to sleep or if this would turn into a discussion, before Andy finally spoke.
"All right, go sleep. But we're talking tonight after dinner." Oz started to protest, but Andy interrupted him again. "You can argue, or we can go back to sleep too. Besides, it's not like you sat up all weekend worrying. I was here too."
Chloe laughed and hurried upstairs, her bed and the sandman calling her. She thought of Joy and was smiling when she fell asleep.
